Welcome

Hello and thanks for visiting my site.

I am co-founder of HubSpot, an Internet Marketing software company dedicated to helping small businesses leverage the internet to increase their lead flow and increase the percentage of those leads that turn into customers.  I also spend much of my time on the internet marketing blog which is a site with information, opinions, and tools for businesses to help them take advantage of the internet in their marketing efforts.
 
Just prior to this venture, I was a venture partner at Longworth Ventures, an exciting new venture firm with some great investments.  Being a venture partner meant I had one foot in the venture world and one in the entrepreneurial world. 

Prior to Longworth I attended the Sloan Fellows Program at MIT getting my MBA.  My study there was focused on innovation/disruption, venture capital, the software industry, and creating unique go-to-market strategies to create competitive advantage. 

Prior to Sloan, I spent several years as VP of Sales at Groove Networks, which was acquired by Microsoft in the Spring of '05.  Groove is a p2p collaboration software company started by Ray Ozzie.  I joined Groove pre-revenue and we built the top-line to $19m prior to acquisition. 

I spent 9 years at PTC where among other things, I started their Asian business.  I spent 5.5 of those years in Hong Kong where I started their Pacific Rim business and grew it to an $80m run rate business.
